How FinFluencerTracker measures calls

Last updated:

FinFluencerTracker is a research archive of public finance-creator stock calls and a free House STOCK Act archive. Every performance figure is simulated. It is not a brokerage account and it is not investment advice.

Creator call simulation

FinFluencerTracker tracks public finance creator opinions. The site organizes that public information so the views can be compared under one set of rules. It does not provide personalized investment advice.

A call is a bullish or bearish stock view in a public YouTube finance video, or in a selected public X post when that post contains the same kind of stock call. The call is stored with the creator and a link back to the public source.

Signals are counted from the next U.S. trading day after publication and typically expire after about three months. This avoids using prices that were not available when the opinion was published and keeps comparisons fair across creators.

Weighted Long-Only uses positive views only and considers how often the creator mentions the same stock: more mentions mean a higher simulated weight. Long-Only uses equal simulated weights. Long-Short treats positive views as long exposure and negative views as short exposure. The creator index opens on Weighted Long-Only.

The performance shown is not a creator’s actual portfolio, holdings, account return, or real trading record. It is not intended to track or reconstruct a creator’s brokerage account. Simulated results can differ from real trading because they may not include taxes, fees, slippage, borrowing costs, liquidity limits, personal timing, or position management. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

House STOCK Act: filed, traded, and SPY

House pages archive public House periodic transaction reports and annual financial disclosures filed under the STOCK Act and posted by the Clerk of the House. Senate disclosures are not included.

The chart is a simulated long-only common-stock book. A purchase adds shares. A sale, including a partial sale, reduces or closes that holding. A sale does not open a short. The default size is the midpoint of the disclosed dollar range divided by the entry price. An open-ended Over band uses its disclosed floor. Cash from a sale stays in the book until it is spent or the next annual reseed. SPY is buy-and-hold from the same first session, not a fresh SPY purchase on every disclosure date. Stock logos on the line mark buys and sells on the selected clock.

When an annual report, an amendment, or a new-filer report has a text layer, Schedule A common stock replaces the book and cash is cleared. Spouse and dependent lines are included. The same ticker is summed. Options, preferred shares, funds, partnerships, bank accounts, and real estate stay out. Scanned annual filings are skipped rather than guessed. A later filing of an older year does not replace a newer list already in the book. There is no model in this path.

An optional equal-dollar curve is on the detail page. Each purchase is one dollar, a partial sale sells one dollar, and a full sale closes that name. An annual list reseeds each common stock to one dollar. Options stay out of the curve when the filing shows option language, a strike, or an expiration date.

The filed clock enters on the next session after the Clerk filing date, so a copy-after-filing view does not use that day’s price. The traded clock uses the session close on the trade date, or the next session if the market was closed. On that traded clock an annual list is applied on the first session of the year after the year the report covers. That traded view is hindsight. Public posting can be later than the Clerk filing date.
